Local athlete Colbey McBeth has been selected to train and compete at the 2017 Omaha National World Series. Colbey, a first baseman, is a junior at Indian Valley High School. Colbey's strong performance at the Roanoke, VA Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout & College PREP in November, earned his selection to the Baseball Factory invite-only event.

The 2017 Omaha National World Series is a national event sponsored by Under Armour. Colbey and other select 14-18 year-old players from across the country will travel to Council Bluffs, Iowa for six days of intense training and competitive game play. Baseball Factory's staff of former professional scouts, former professional players and former college coaches will work with players daily on all aspects of their game. In addition, players will test their skills against some of their most talented peers.

The event will take place June 17-22, 2017 at Iowa Western Community College, Home of the Reivers, NJCAA National Champions in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
