Southeastern Med received the "Outstanding Patient Experience Award" from Healthgrades, placing the Guernsey County hospital in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide. Southeastern Med is the only hospital in Southeastern Ohio to earn the award this year.
The award, based on Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems patient survey feedback, recognizes hospitals for performance across 10 measurements related to doctor and nurse communication, hospital cleanliness and noise levels, and medication and post-discharge care instructions.
Southeastern Med ranks at least 5% higher than the national average in every category and 76% of survey respondents gave the hospital an overall rating of 9 or 10. One area where Southeastern Med rates particularly high 12% above the national average is in speed of care.
