The 2017 season is underway at Cy Young Park and is already proving to be very popular.

Thanks to local merchants and donors, the Save the Pool Fund was able to provide 111 individual season passes to local children. Many of those passes have been upgraded to family passes by other family members and friends. There are not many who have not picked up the free passes yet but the deadline is approaching. Free passes must be picked up by the end of June.

There are approximately 350+ people covered by season passes at this time and that includes all free and purchased passes.

The pool held its first Full Moon Swim on June 9th. The event was a huge success, as was its Howling at the Moon contest. The next evening swim is scheduled for June 24 from 7-10 p.m.

Other upcoming events in June are Fathers Swim Free on Father's Day, June 18, noon-7pm; Selfie Day on June 21, noon-5pm; and Swim a Lap Day, June 24, noon-7pm.

Look for more fun and exciting events in July that will include a Joke Day, a UFO Day, Moonlight Swims, and an Independence Day Celebration.

And don't forget to book your Private Pool Party soon while we still have dates available. The calendar is beginning to fill up. Pool rental is $100 for the first hour and $75 for each additional hour.

On a final note the pool concession stand has added corndogs to its menu this year and they are YUMMY. So come up and visit us at lunchtime. Where else can you find corndogs for $1.50 and hot dogs, pizza, ice cream and pop all for $1.00 each?

Pool hours are Wednesday, Thursday, noon-5 p.m. ($3 admission) and Friday, Saturday, Sunday, noon-7 p.m. (admission $4).
