KIMBOLTON -- Emergency crews were dispatched Thursday night to a northern Guernsey County location where multiple people were reported injured. One of the injuries was described as a "trauma."
According to the call log at the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office, at 9:50 p.m., the emergency 9-1-1 dispatcher was alerted to an injury "from a fall" at the Rocky Fork Ranch Resort. There was some indication that a golf cart may have been involved, but there was no immediate, official verification of that.
The dispatcher said as many as five people may have been injured, including one person who suffered serious injuries. According to scanner traffic, Southeastern Med was notified of a trauma alert. Responders attempted to summon a Med Flight, but the helicopter was unable to fly.
Responding to the scene in addition to two deputies were first responders of the Liberty Community Fire Department and United Ambulance personnel. A second United Ambulance unit was subsequently summoned.
The address to which responders were dispatched was 74978 Broadhead Road. That is in Monroe Township, not far from the Tuscarawas County line.
More information was unavailable as The Jeffersonian went to press.
