The Ohio High School Athletic Association requires a meeting for all athletes in grades 7-12 at the Newcomerstown schools and their parents. The meeting will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3. All fall athletes and their parents need to attend.
Class of 1960
The Newcomerstown High School Class of 1960 will meet Wednesday, Aug. 9 at noon in Roscoe Village at the Warehouse on the patio.
Class of 1957
The Newcomerstown Class of 1957 will meet at the Olde Main Street Museum, Canal Street, Newcomerstown on Aug. 12 with a social hour at 4 p.m. and a meal to follow at 5 p.m.
The Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce is holding its Community Yard Sales August 4 and 5.
The Newcomerstown Senior Center is sponsoring a rummage sale on Aug. 4-5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Donations will be accepted for gently used items; no heavy furniture or appliances. Call 740-498-4523 for information. Spaces are available. Sandwiches will be available on Friday.
There will be a Kurz-Kasch Retiree luncheon on Aug. 9 at 11:30 a.m. at April's Country Kitch'n.
Members of the Port Washington - Salem Historical Society will not be meeting in August. Regular monthly meetings will resume beginning Sept. 12 at noon at the Port Washington Town Hall.
An afternoon of country music will be presented at The Kimbolton Community Center on Sunday, Aug. 6. Rod Bradford and Friends will take the stage at noon, followed by the Ray McFadden band from 1 to 2 p.m. and George Coler and friends will entertain from 2-3 p.m. There will be cake walks and a 50-50 drawing. Menu will include baked steak and chicken dinners as well as sandwiches, salads and desserts. Carry out is available. This event, sponsored by the Kimbolton Homecoming Committee, is open to the public with no admission charge.
WEST LAFAYETTE -- Sales for reserved seats and all-season passes for the Ridgewood Local School District will begin Tuesday, Aug. 1 through Aug. 11 for past seat holders only. On Monday, Aug. 14, sales will be open to the general public. Passes are available 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the central office, 301 S. Oak St.
