WARSAW — In the All County High School cross country meet hosted by River View High on Tuesday, the Cambridge boys finished second behind host River View with Ridgewood third and Newcomerstown fourth.
River View scored 25 points to claim the boys’ title followed by Cambridge (48), Ridgewood (67) and Newcomerstown (86).
Ridgewood was paced by Trevor Hawkins in fourth place (18:18.3) and he was joined by Fred Doberstein, 6th (18:32.3), Jordan Olinger, 16th (20:53.7), Tristan Salmon, 19th (21:12.4) and Daniel Scott, 22nd (22:31.0).
Newcomerstown was led by Jacob Robinson in 12th place (19:34.8) followed by Hunter Garretson, 13th (19:35.5), Tanner Norman, 18th (21:09.5), Brody Lehman, 20th (22:18.7) and Kyler McNichols, 23rd (23:15.9).
Host River View claimed the top two spots with Sawyer Neal the winner in 17:50.1 followed by Austin Hill (18:04.5). Other scorers for the Black Bears were Nathaniel Stamper, 5th (18:22.0), Nicolas Grashel, 7th (18:41.2) and Lane Beatty, 10th (19:05.6).
In the girls’ race, River View finished first with 25 points followed by Newcomerstown with 48 points and Cambridge with 62 points.
Newcomerstown was led by Trew Davis who finished third in 22:35.7. She was followed by Christina Miller, 7th (23:50.5), Lacey Davis, 11th (266:08.1), Karen Miller, 13th (26:49.9) and Hayley Robinson in 14th place (27:04.3).
River View claimed second with Sydney Stewart finishing with a time of 22:03.2 followed by Aliya Stevens, 4th (22:56.3), Cassidi Bookless, 5th (23:41.6), Alicia Lonsinger, 6th (23:42.5) and Nicole Bryant, 8th in 24:26.4.
