MIDVALE — Indian Valley junior Caden Hostetler put forth his best foot with a huge night to lead the Braves over visiting Manchester High by a final score on 38-32 on Friday night at Kelly Field.
Hostetler broke loose for 247 yards rushing on 18 carries with a whopping total of five TDs to lead the Braves to a 2-0 start to the season.
Included in Hostetler’s total were a pair of long runs, breaking off scoring jaunts of 53 and 33 yards in the contest.
Indian Valley jumped out a quick 12-0 lead after the first quarter, with Cade Williams connecting with Braden Rostad on a 34-yard TD strike to open the game’s scoring at the 5:13 mark. Hostetler then tallied the first of his five rushing touchdowns with a short three-yard run with 1:23 left in the period.
Led by Hostetler, the Braves would rack up 371 yards rushing on 38 attempts with Williams chipping in with 103 yards on the ground in 13 carries for IV.
