Local veterans groups came together on Monday, Sept. 4, to further enhance a tribute to armed services at Newcomerstown’s Cy Young Park. On July 4, a large U.S. flag was erected at the park. With the support of area businesses, five other flags were placed around the U.S. flag, represented the United States Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard. The following is a list of the people and businesses who helped Roger Seitz and Denny Ross make the Veterans’ Cy Young Park memorial flag project a reality. Tom Apple, John Joyner, Harry Kenney, George Jones, Dave Fockler, Eureka-Orme Hardware, Jim Everhart, Nathan Lester, Stocker’s Concrete, Bill Lawrence, Annin Flag Co., Ralph Roads, Jody Brickle & Sons, M.
