Just a short time ago a dear sister pointed me to a small gift bag with my name on it. It was signed only, "A Secret Sister" and left for me to find. I must say a special "Thank You" to my sister. You may be a secret but you certainly allowed God to use you and I pray He will bless you for it.
The tag contained the words, "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage.." This of course is from Psalm 27:14. I had struggled recently with some decisions, questions and feelings. It was not until later in the day that I realized just how much I needed those words of encouragement; words that reminded me to wait and trust. Then too, I realized God knew all about my day. He knew I would need those words and sent them even before I could ask.
Matthew 6:8 tells me that God does know what I need before I ask. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. I find these words in Isaiah 65:24.
Does God know the needs of His children? Yes, He does and often the answer comes before the need is seen by my eyes. This time He used a special sister to deliver the answer. So once more I say, "Thank You," both for the gift and for following God’s direction and allowing Him to use you.
It is a blessing to see that God cares for His own and that I can wait and trust, knowing the answer will come.
