WEST LAFAYETTE — Host Indian Valley High defeated Buckeye Trail, 176-213, in a dual match in prep golf action at River Greens Golf Course on Monday.

For IVHS, Dalton Burcher, Austin Rummell and Mason Rummell all shot 42 while Evan Miller had 51.

Leading the way for BTHS was a trio of golfers all shooting a 53 including Rylie Smith, Micah Millhon and Noah Castello while Kirsten Pierce was right behind at 54.


BOLIVAR — The Ridgewood High girls golf team suffered a tough 193-195 setback to host Sandy Valley on Monday at Wilkshire Golf Course.

Lexi Zimmer shot 42 to lead the Lady Generals’ effort along with Sadie Wilson (46), Brianna Brady (51), Hallie Reed (56), Sydney Matis (57) and Ally Dotson (68).

Sandy Valley was paced by Bella Woodin with a 40 to take medalist honors, followed by Grace Crilley (49), Hannah Deford (49), Natalie Owens (57), Dakota Abbott (55), and Brooke Elliott (66).


BOLIVAR — Visiting Newcomerstown High finished third in a triangular match with Tusky Valley and Coshocton in golf action at Wilkshire Golf Course on Monday. The Redskins ran away with the nine-hole match scoring a 155 while Tusky Valley finished second with a 175 and the Trojans with a 189.

Mason Waycaster of Coshocton and Brandon Goldsmith of Tusky Valley shared medalist honors both scoring 38.

Pacing NHS was Thurman Gibson and Kaden Shepherd both shooting 45 followed by Levi Kilpatrick (47), Parker Norman (52), Chase Arnold (53) and Kayla Gibson (55).


BOLIVAR — Visiting Ridgewood High suffered a 187-201 loss in a dual match with Tusky Valley in prep golf action at Wilkshire Golf Course on Tuesday.

Pacing Ridgewood was match-medalist Sadie Wilson with a 39 followed by Lexi Zimmer (50), Brianna Brady (56), Sydney Matis (56) and Hallie Reed (58).

For the Lady Trojans, Abby Dillon led the way with a 42 followed by Sydney Clements (46), Keegan Selinsky (48) and Boston McKinney (51).


WEST LAFAYETTE — Host Ridgewood High dropped a slim 195-199 decision to Strasburg in Inter-Valley Conference girls’ golf action Wednesday at River Greens Golf Course.

Strasburg was led by Brooke Spidell (44), Rebekah Sugalski (47), Emalee Nave (50), Olivia Martin (54), Hannah Deford (60.

Lexi Zimmer shot 42 to collect medalist honors for the Lady Generals, along with Brianna Brady (48), Hallie Reed (54), Sadie Wilson (55), Sydney Matis (66), Ally Dotson (67).


BOLIVAR — Strasburg High upended Indian Valley by a 160-187 score in prep golf action on Wednesday.

Dalton Burcher showed the way for the Braves with a round of 41, followed by Austin Rummell (45), Mason Rummell (47) and Evan Miller (54).


SUGARCREEK - Fueled by a 73 from medalist Mitch Neidenthal, Strasburg High captured the Inter-Valley Conference Postseason Tournament at Willandale Golf Course on Thursday.

Strasburg finished with an 18-hole total of 316, five better than runner-up Hiland (321) and six better than third place Garaway (322). Claymont (343) finished fourth followed by Ridgewood (353), Sandy Valley (358), Tusky Valley (371), Indian Valley (376), Newcomerstown (400), Buckeye Trail (413), Tusky Catholic (423) and Malvern (447).

Ridgewood’s top effort came from Adam Matusik with an 84 followed by Trey Stoffer (87), Palmer Erb (91) and Kenny Lott (91).

For Indian Valley, Austin Rummell shot 89 followed by Dalton Burcher (92), Mason Rummell (94) and Evan Miller (101).

Low man for Newcomerstown was Kaden Shepherd with a 93, with Levi Kilpatrick next with a 95. Rounding out the Trojan scoring were Thurman Gibson and Brandon Cutshall both with 106.


BOLIVAR - Garaway High captured the Inter-Valley Conference Post-Season Tournament at Wilkshire Golf Course on Friday.

Garaway finished with a 323-stroke total, well ahead of runner-up Indian Valley’s 369 score. Tusky Valley (376) was third followed by Sandy Valley (401), Claymont (411), Strasburg (413) and Ridgewood (422).

Jocelyn Troyer of Garaway was the medalist with a 70.

Ridgewood’s scores included Lexi Zimmer and Sadie Wilson with 90s; Brianna Brady with a 117 and Hallie Reed at 123.


WEST LAFAYETTE - Strasburg High took team honors while Meadowbrook’s Trey Singleton and Coshocton’s Logan Desender earned co-medalist honors in the Eastern District Open at River Greens Golf Course on Saturday.

Strasburg finished with a 305-stroke total, one better than runner-up Coshocton’s 306 score. Hiland (311) was third followed by Garaway (317), Dover (325), John Glenn (326), Claymont (329), Steubenville (335), Ridgewood (343), Carrollton (345), River View (348), Cambridge (348), Indian Valley (355), Meadowbrook (359), West Muskingum (360), Tusky Valley (360), New Philadelphia (365), St. Clairsville (379), Newcomerstown (384) and Morgan (392).

Leading the way for Ridgewood withn an 82 was Adam Matusik. Others scoring for the Generals were Trey Stoffer (83), Ryan Zinnkon (86) and Palmer Erb (92) while Kenny Lott added a 93.

For Indian Valley, Dalton Burcher carded a 78 followed by Austin Rummell (86), Mason Rummell (88) and Evan Miller (103).

Newcomerstown’s scores included Levi Kilpatrick (94), Brandon Cutschall (95), Kaden Shepherd (96) and Thurman Gibson (99) along with Chase Arnold at 100.
