One of the nation’s largest and oldest forest industry trade shows, "The Official Paul Bunyan Show," announced its 2017 schedule of events slated for October 6-8 at the Guernsey County Fairgrounds east of Cambridge in Old Washington.

"For more than 60 years, the Official Paul Bunyan Show has offered a unique opportunity for families to celebrate Ohio’s forestry background," Cambridge/?Guernsey County Visitor & Convention Bureau Executive Director Debbie Robinson said. "We’re thrilled to serve as a host to thousands of guests as they visit the region during the festival."

Visitors to the event will find more than 130 exhibitors who represent all facets of the forest industry throughout North America.

Established in 1957 and organized by the Ohio Forestry Association, Inc. (OFA), the "Official Paul Bunyan Show" is believed to be the oldest forestry industry show of its kind in the eastern United States and annually attracts thousands of visitors from Ohio and surrounding states. The event’s primary focus is to provide access to the current knowledge and technology of forestry products and industry which enhances the quality of life and market competitiveness of individuals, families, industries, and communities.

In addition to the competitions, the show hosts a dozen educational seminars for all ages to learn from and enjoy. Show goers may attend free seminars on topics ranging from precision tree felling to tree identification.

Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for kids (7-12 years of age) and seniors with a Golden Buckeye card, and children under 6 are free. This fee covers all events and entrance into all exhibit halls and educational seminars. Show hours, Friday and Saturday, are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parking is free.
