There will be a "Resume and Interview Skills Workshop" on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Newcomerstown Public Library Annex. Ohio Means Jobs and the Newcomerstown Public Library are partnering to bring an resume writing and interview skills workshop. Learn how to write an effective, tailored resume that will give the best chance of snagging an interview. The Ridgewood Board of Education Building and Grounds Committee will meet Thursday, Nov. 16, from 3-4 p.m. at the Ridgewood High School Media Center.
St. Paul’s United Church of Christ at the corner of High and Arch streets in Port Washington will host its annual Turkey Supper and Bazaar from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The event is open to the public and carry-out is available. The menu will include turkey and dressing, real mashed potatoes and gravy, noodles, green beans, assorted salads, assorted desserts, bread and beverage. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

The Newcomertown High School Class of 1958 will have a luncheon Nov. 9 at 12:30 p.m. at Uncle Primo’s in New Philadelphia.
Lions’ Rose Day
The Newcomerstown Lions Club is currently selling roses for $20 a dozen (mail orders are $28 a dozen). The order deadline is Nov. 8 and the roses will be delivered on Saturday, Nov. 18. To order or for information, call 740-498-5406.
The West Union United Methodist Church Women’s Fellowship will host its annual "Holiday Bazaar" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, in the church basement. There will be crafts and gift items, a bake sale and a donation-only food stand. The church is located at 13679 Gilmore Road, Gilmore.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 6, Cross Roads Construction will begin working on a rock scaling project on US 36 westbound between County Road 170 and County Road 93. While work is being completed, there will be a single lane closure of US 36 westbound. The estimated completion date for this portion of the project is Monday, Nov.20, weather permitting.
Ridgewood High School will host its annual fall awards night for cross country, volleyball and soccer on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. at the high school. Families are asked to bring two covered dishes and table service. The Athletic Department will provide beverages. The families of seniors and freshmen are to bring a main dish and a dessert while the families of juniors and sophomores are to bring a main dish and a side dish.
