Mayor Pat Cadle has announced that Newcomerstown has one more round of leaf pickup.

The schedule is the same as in past weeks. Leaves are to be raked to the curb strip. Do not rake them into the street so they are not able to clog the storm drains. Crews will only make one pass each day, so residents need to have them ready on the day when their part of town is scheduled. Do not have branches or garbage in with the leaves. If these items are found in the leaves, they will not be picked up! If a vehicle or anyone else’s is in front of the leaves, the street department cannot and will not vacuum them up.

For more information, call 740-498-8655 and leave a message. The Street Superintendent will return the call as soon as possible.

Please note the following times and dates for leaf pickup:

December 11 – Monday: Section 1- From River Street west to the corporation limit (to beginning of CR 9) and south of the railroad tracks.

December 12 – Tuesday: Section 2 – From River Street east to the Corporation limit Arrowhead clinic) and south of the tracks.

December 13 – Wednesday: Section 3 – From Bridge Street east to Pilling Street, north of the railroad tracks. Includes the Scott Addition.

December 14 – Thursday: Section 4 - From Bridge Street west to the corporation limit, north of the railroad tracks.

If it rains, the Section scheduled to be cleaned will be pushed back, but will remain in the same order.

This will be the last leaf pickup scheduled .
