The Newcomerstown Rotary Club will be holding its annual Spring blood screenings on Saturday, April 7, from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at the West Elementary School, 517 Beaver Street.
Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center of Cambridge will conduct the screenings. Those taking part will need to register by calling 740 435-2900. The tests need to be ordered before the day of the screening. There is no penalty for those who can not attend after registering. There are no appointments, it is still on a first come first served basis.
A 12-hour fast is required; drinking water is encouraged.
Tests offered include:
CBC, CMP & LIPID panel $50. (Blood count/Anemia, Electrolytes, Glucose, Kidney & Liver function, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL/LDL ratio, LDL/VLDL and Uric Acid)
Hemoglobin A1C (Diabetic) $20
TSH (Thyroid) $25
PSA (Prostate) $25
Vitamin D $25
Test results will be mailed back; it is the participants responsibility to give it to their physician.
Snacks and beverages will be available.
EMS personnel will be available for free blood pressure checks.
