I saw a sign that said "Get Right or Get Left." It seemed to me the message was plain but I wondered if the world would even understand. Do we as Christians even grasp the real meaning behind many of the quotes?

Again I have to admit that sometimes we don’t. I thought about the meaning behind the words on this particular sign. Knowing God’s word teaches that all of us will spend eternity in one of two places and that the choice is ours to make, I did understand.

We will live out our lives on this earth according to the time God has allotted us. After death comes the judgment when God will tell us, go here or go there. But don’t we get to choose which place that will be?

Yes we do. It’s just that the choice has to be made now, before death comes to claim this body. In II Corinthians 6:2 it says, "….. behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."

Jesus died for all mankind giving us the forgiveness of sin and the opportunity to spend eternity in Heaven with Him. Our only part is to tell Him that’s what we want; asking Him to forgive our many sins knowing forgiveness will come, just as He promised.

I’m glad I made the decision to ask for forgiveness many years ago. I have been blessed to spend this life with Him, and know too that I will spend eternity with Him when my life here is over. I encourage you to read the words again. Get right or get left. Have you made your choice? It’s not too late to do it today. I pray that you choose Jesus, a decision you will cherish and treasure for a lifetime.

It’s a blessing to know that many years ago I made the right choice; the choice to accept Christ as Savior and Lord. Because of this I will never be left behind when Jesus comes to claim His own.
