While there were some raindrops to be dodged, there were still good crowds for most of the events for the 2018 Cy Young Days Festival.

Here are some pictures from this year’s festival, which featured vintage baseball, a car show, the Cy Young Run, a talent show, cloggers, a presentation by ARTSNCT, concerts and more.

In addition, former Cy Young Award winner Dwight "Doc" Gooden was in Newcomerstown as grand marshal of the parade Saturday evening. He also presented the trophies for the Cy Young Run, spoke at a Saturday luncheon and signed hundreds of autographs for area baseball enthusiasts.

While there was a heavy downpour Friday evening and some spotty showers on Saturday, the overall weather was good for the 2018 Cy Young Days, leading to good attendance at most events. The luncheon on Saturday featuring Doc Gooden brought in nearly 200 people, including over 20 queens from various festivals around the region.
