Joshua Green has joined the Newcomerstown Middle School staff, as the new sixth grade social studies teacher in Room 303.

Joshua graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 2014. While a student at Newcomerstown, he participated in basketball, baseball, cross country and band. He attended Kent State University and graduated with a degree in Middle Childhood Education, with concentrations in Social Studies and Language Arts. Joshua is the son of Ryan and Christie Green, and has two siblings, Justin and Caitlin.

In his spare time, Josh enjoys many hobbies, including playing sports, running, reading, playing video games, listening to music and traveling. So far, he said he's been fortunate enough to have traveled to Italy, New York City, Washington D.C., Gatlinburg TN and multiple beaches for family vacations.

He said he chose to return to Newcomerstown Schools to teach because he is hopeful and excited to have a positive impact on the lives of his students here, and he is proud to be a Trojan His favorite part about the first weeks of school has been getting to know all of his students better, and learning more about them each and every day.
