The Newcomerstown High School Fall Sports Awards Night will be Thursday, Nov. 8 starting at 7 p.m. in the high school gym. Members of the fall sports will be recognized and presented with their awards.
The Newcomerstown Track Team will again be hosting a donkey basketball game at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Newcomerstown High School. This game is a fundraiser for the track program. Tickets are available to purchase from any track student or from Coach Don Stevens at Newcomerstown Middle School. Ticket prices are $6 in advance or $8 at the door the night of the game. The Everal community will have a covered dish dinner Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Historic Chapel, 60417 Everals Church Road, Newcomerstown The public is invited to attend. Bring a covered dish and come join in the good food and fellowship. Drinks and table service provided . Christmas cards featuring the old chapel will be available at the event. The next event at the Chapel will be the Christmas Eve services held each year. This will be the 150th Christmas Eve in the historic chapel. The Newcomerstown Police Department is accepting applications for full-time and part-time police officer. Minimum qualifications are 21 years of age, possess a valid Ohio driver’s license, must have attended and graduated from a police academy and possess O.P.O.T.A. certification. Chili Church officials said the church is profoundly grateful for all the veterans who’ve served our country and all the wonderful first responders who do such a great job helping the community. The church will honor these great people in a service Sunday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chili Crossroads Bible Church 29445 County Road 10 Fresno. The public is invited and all are welcome.
The West Union United Methodist Women’s Fellowship will host its annual "Holiday Bazaar" on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church basement. There will be crafts and gift items, a bake sale and a donation-only food stand. The church is located at 13679 Gilmore Road on Tuscarawas County Road 10 between Gilmore and Peoli.

St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, corner of High and Arch streets in Port Washington, will have a turkey supper and bazaar from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14. The menu will include turkey and dressing, real mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade noodles, green beans, assorted salads, assorted desserts, bread and beverage. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. The event is open to the public and carry-out is available.

The Newcomerstown High School Class of 1960 will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at noon at Uncle Primo's, 435 Minnich Ave., New Philadelphia.
The Chestnut Hill Band will perform bluegrass music at ARTSNCT on Friday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. Donations will be taken at the door.
