Correction

In the Distinguished Honor Roll at Newcomerstown Middle School, the last name of Krandon Stowers was inadvertently omitted. The News regrets the omission.

Date changed

The regular meeting of the Salem Township Trustees scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 15 was canceled. The next meeting will be Thursday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. at the Township Hall on St. Clairsville St., Port Washington.

Class of 1957

The Newcomerstown High School Class of 1957 will meet at noon Dec. 4 at the East Main Kitchen & Coffee in Baltic.

Class of 1958

The Newcomerstown High School Class of 1958 will have lunch at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Unusual Junction, US Rt.36, West Lafayette.

Bakersville movie

The Bakersville Community Church will be showing the movie "Woodlawn" at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.  "Woodlawn" is a football film based on an inspiring real-life story on love and unity in a school torn by racism and hate in the 1970s. "One Hope, One Truth, One Way" please join us for a night of fellowship with a great message.

Art on display

Professional artist Esther Marie Versch is the featured artist at The West Lafayette Library during the month of November. View Esther Marie’s art of Ohio landscapes and birds. The library is open Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Christmas Sale

Isleta United Methodist Church will conduct its 13th annual "Christmas Cookie & Candy" sale in the church basement on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 8 to 11 a.m. There will be hundreds of holiday cookies and candies to choose from, and participants can make up their own assortment of favorites.
