PEORIA, Ill. — An Illinois strip-club employee told police a friend might have stolen $900 from her.

At 2 a.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old entertainer ended her shift at Pulse Gentleman’s Club in West Peoria, Ill., according to a Peoria police report. The woman and several friends decided to head to a bar in downtown Peoria, the report stated.

One of the friends said she planned on leaving her car locked at Pulse, and she suggested the 21-year-old leave her bag of work and personal items (clothes, makeup, straight iron, keys, money and welfare-benefits card) in the car, the report stated. The 21-year-old agreed, and she and the others got a ride downtown in a different car.

Ninety minutes later at a downtown bar, the 21-year-old realized the friend with the locked car was gone. The 21-year-old called the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office and said the friend “would be willing to steal from her,” the report stated.

Her bag in the car included $900: five $100 bills, plus 400 $1 bills.

The case remains under investigation.
