NHS honors spring sports athletes
Newcomerstown High School recently had its Spring Sports Awards program and honored all team players for their participation and dedication to the sports they played. Those athletes also earning special award recognition included the following:
Boy's Track
Most points - track events -- Mitch Osso
Most points - field events -- Chase Addy
J.D. Milburn Award -- Caleb Rankin
Girl's Track
Most points - track events -- Lexy Long
Most points - field events -- Kayla Hinds
J.D. Milburn Award -- Erica Roberts
Softball
Offensive Player of the Year -- Amber Gibson
Defensive Player of the Year -- Andrea McWhorter
Most Improved Player -- Hannah Rexroad
Rookie of the Year -- Jessie Rexroad
Baseball
Offensive Player of the Year -- Cameron Wolf
Defensive Player of the Year -- J.C. Rine
Pitcher of the Year -- J.C. Rine
Coaches' Award -- Doug Dorsey
