Loren R. Berger, 76, of Newcomerstown, passed away Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born Sunday, Aug. 5, 1934, in Newcomerstown, to the late Charles E. Berger and Anna F. (McIntire) Berger.

He was a owner/operator of his Excavating Company, and was a Washington Township trustee.

He was a member of the Muskingum Horse Show Association.

On Feb. 21, 1953, he married Charmagne B. (Davis) Berger, who passed away Nov. 22, 2008.

He is survived by three daughters, Marge (Roy) Kenney of Port Washington, Mary Anna Long of Dover and Susan (Jim) Stocker of Port Washington; one son, Charles (Cindy) Berger of Newcomerstown; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Charlene Moore of Newcomerstown.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Loren T. Berger and Roger L. Berger; one granddaughter, Brittany Stocker; and one brother, Carl Berger.
