Chris Alan McClung, 44, of Kimbolton, passed away at his Kimbolton residence on Feb. 9, 2011.
Chris was born in Barberton on July 29, 1966, the son of the late C. Clarence and Edith I. Watts McClung.
He was a graduate of Akron Manchester High School, Class of 1984, and took college courses at Glenville State University, W.Va. He was employed as a clerk at the BP gas station, Adena Drive, Newcomerstown, for a few years. Chris was Catholic by faith, and enjoyed traveling and wildlife rehabilitation work.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Christine McClung, Newcomerstown, who died in 1994.
Chris is survived by his wife, Jennifer L. Peebles McClung of Kimbolton, whom he married Dec. 27, 1992; an aunt, Trula Ivans of Maine; and his father and mother-in-law, Richard D. and Linda J. Peebles of Wadsworth.
To honor Chris's wishes, his remains have been cremated. Memorial services will be held this Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Ourant Funeral Home, Newcomerstown. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from noon until the 1 p.m. services.
Burial of his ashes will follow at a later date at the Irish Ridge Cemetery, Monroe Township, Guernsey County.
