Brandon Lee Speicher, 10, Newcomerstown, perished in a house fire at his Newcomerstown residence on Monday morning, May 30, 2011.

Brandon was born in Dover on Nov. 29, 2000, and is survived by his father, Terry L. Speicher, Massillon. Brandon's mother, Rachel L. Speicher, also perished in the May 30 fire. Brandon was just finishing the year as a third grader at West Elementary School, Newcomerstown. Brandon enjoyed baseball and played in the T-Ball League at Port Washington for a year and then played for the McDonald's team in the Coach Pitch League at Cy Young Youth League, Newcomerstown. Brandon enjoyed video games and collecting Hot Wheels, especially his favorite car, the Ford Mustang. He also enjoyed fishing with his great grandfather and his grandmother at Salt Fork Lake.

In addition to his mother, Brandon was preceded in death by a great uncle, Clayton G. Law, Virginia Beach, Va.; and an uncle, Jason Lee Stout, Newcomerstown.

In addition to his father, Brandon is survived by his sister, Justice Faith Speicher, a first grader at West Elementary School, Newcomerstown; his brother, Clayton David Speicher, who will enter kindergarten next year in Newcomerstown; his maternal grandmother and her companion, Victoria L. "Vickie" Pope and Richard Westhafer, Newcomerstown; his maternal great grandparents, Roger D. and Elizabeth Maxine Law, Port Washington; his paternal grandfather and step grandmother, Mark and Lori Stout, Newcomerstown; his paternal grandmother, Tina Bonifant, Massillon; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate Brandon's life were Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the Ourant Funeral Home, Newcomerstown. Burial was Monday, June 6 in the North Salem Cemetery, Liberty Township, Guernsey County.
