Randall L. Braniger, 62 of West Lafayette, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Thursday, Oct. 20, 1949, in Coshocton, to the late Lewis Bud and Harriett (Elliott) Braniger.
He was a 1967 West Lafayette High School graduate.
He was a US Army veteran, serving from March 11, 1969, until March 11, 1971.
He was retired supervisor at AK Steel in Coshocton retiring January 2010.
He was a lifelong member of the Isleta United Methodist Church, member of the Isleta UMC NOW Class, Newcomerstown Elks Lodge, West Lafayette Lions Club, Classic Glass Corvette Club of New Philadelphia and the Industrial Softball League.
On Friday, Aug. 22, 1969, he married Kay (Durben) Braniger, who survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Risa Peters of University Place, Wash., and Heidi (Bill) Eldridge of Perrysville; two grandchildren, Chelsey Slusser and Alec Eldridge; one sister, Brenda (Willie) Hayes of Cambridge; one brother, Charles Chad (Joni) Braniger of Bradenton, Fla.;and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at the Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown, with the Rev. Paul Gerycz officiating.
Burial was in the Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.
Military graveside services were conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
