COLD SPRING, Minn. -- Norma June Addy VanVoorhis Cordt, 81, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, in the St. Cloud Hospital, with her four children by her side.
She was born Feb. 2, 1931, the second oldest daughter of Charles William Addy and Mable Elizabeth Willis Addy in Newcomerstown, Ohio.
She is survived and will always be loved by her husband, George Cordt; her children, James (Deb) VanVoorhis of Clear Water, Minn., Jennifer (Gary) Heinrich of Arizona; Jeffrey Paul (Pam) VanVoorhis of Browerville, and Scott Thelen of California; stepchildren, Becky (Dan) of Ouimette, Ind., Karen (Larry) Huhn of Darwin, Debra Rokala of Dassel; sister, Jane Mayer of Illinois; brother, W.D. Addy of California; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul VanVoorhis; sons-in-law, Rick Kedrowski and G. Tom Cordt; sister, Bonnie Mauro; brothers-in-law, Lester Aveiro, Frank Mauro, and Charles Mayer; and niece, Marilyn Mayer.
Funeral services with private arrangements were with the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring, Minn.
June's final resting place will be in the West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown, Ohio.
