Erma C. "Billie" Gibson, 86, of Newcomerstown, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012.
She was born March 24, 1926, in Newcomerstown, to the late William and Hazel (Atkinson) Dillehay.
She was a 1944 Newcomerstown High School graduate.
She was a homemaker and worked for Newcomerstown Schools in the cafeteria where she collected money for lunches. She was a member of Parkview Church of Christ of West Lafayette. She was an avid painter of China and a seamstress, and she enjoyed making porcelain dolls.
On June 3, 1945, she married Earl Gibson, who passed away Nov. 12, 2006.
She is survived by five children, David (Carol) Gibson of Columbia, S.C., Cynthia Jane (Mike) Vierheller of Senecaville, John (Linda) Gibson of West Lafayette, Daniel (Julia) Gibson of Land O Lakes, Fla., and Marc (Kellie) Gibson of Lakeland, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Emily (Warren) Rummell of New Philadelphia.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Dillehay.
Services were Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the Parkview Church of Christ of West Lafayette with ministers Marc Gibson, John Gibson and Mike Vierheller officiating.
Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown.
The Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown was in charge of arrangements.
