AVON PARK, Fla. -- John Lloyd Haugh, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in Avon Park, Fla.

Mr. Haugh was born Nov. 28 1932, in Uhrichsville, to Howard and Verna (Newell) Haugh.

Mr. Haugh was a principal in elementary education.

He was of the Baptist faith and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He had been a resident of Avon Park since 1998 coming from Indiana, Mich.

He is survived by his sons, John Haugh (Becky) of Fayettville, Ga., and Barry Haugh (Lisa) of Muskegon, Mich.; brother, Melvin Haugh (Darlene) of Uhrichsville, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Linda Haugh of Hampton, Va.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 58 years, Grace M. Haugh; and a son, Harry Lon Haugh.

A memorial service took place Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Fla.
