Thomas Eckelberry, 69, of Newcomerstown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 2, 1943, in Newcomerstown, to the late William and Catherine (Smith) Eckelberry.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Harry) Fluhart and Cheryl Morris, both of Columbus, a step-daughter, Gina Montgomery of Newcomerstown; his sister, Lucille Fuller of Coshocton; and his significant other, Julie McKibben of Newcomerstown.

Additionally, there are eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and four nieces and nephews.

He was a 1962 graduate of Newcomerstown High School. He retired from Simonds as a millwright after 41 years. He was a past member of the Moose and Elks clubs and an active volunteer for the Polar Express.

He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed showing and judging area car shows.

Graveside services were Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, in the East State Street Cemetery, Newcomerstown, with Brother Matthew Howton officiating.
