JAMES B. 'TOAD' TEDROW 1970-2013

BELLVILLE -- A good friend helps get you out of trouble, a great friend helps get you out of trouble and takes the blame. Toad Tedrow was a good and a great friend to many. A friendly face in the community, Toad's friendship could have been considered a full time occupation. Always happy, many were drawn to his big heart and fun personality.

On Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, the Clear Fork Valley lost a great friend. Toad passed away in Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness. He was 42.

Toad was born Nov. 10, 1970, in Columbus, the son of John and Linda (Goettge) Tedrow. After graduating from Clear Fork High School in 1989, Toad continued his education at The Ohio State University. He graduated in 1995 earning a Bachelors of Science in Political Science.

Since high school, Toad worked alongside his father operating Digital Telephone and Electronics. Toad worked both in sales and satellite installation.

Toad was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed golfing at local courses. Fun and excitement seemed to follow Toad. Whether at home, work, or on vacation, Toad just had a way of "turning lemons into lemonade." He enjoyed vacationing in Mexico, Florida, and taking Caribbean cruises.

Supporting "The Valley," Toad sponsored children showing livestock during the Bellville Street Fair and also held spaghetti dinners for many Clear Fork athletic programs.
