DALLAS SHEPHERD 1932-2013

NORFORK, Ark. -- Dallas Shepherd, 80, of Norfork, Ark., passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 30, 1932, in Newcomerstown, Ohio, to William Washington and Effie Freda (Addy) Shepherd.

Mr. Shepherd married Evelyn York on Oct. 23, 1993, in Atchison, Kan.

He was the former owner/operator of The Hardware Store in Atchison, Kan. He was a member and Deacon at the Jordan First Baptist Church. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed and loved to fly airplanes.

Mr. Shepherd is survived by his wife, Evelyn Shepherd of Norfork; four daughters, Terri (Vince) Riehn of Bloomington, Minn., Sue Reissner of Minneapolis, Minn., Cathy (Robert) DeVoe of Enumclaw, Wash., and Lee Ann Bricco of New Brighton, Minn.; a step-daughter, Vicky Peck of Lebanon, Ore.; a step-son, Mark (Ginny) Bailey of Atchison, Kan., a sister, Velma Clements; and a sister-in-law, Mary Shepherd both of Newcomerstown, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Susie (Huffman) Shepherd; two brothers, E. Carl Shepherd and Ronnie Shepherd; a half-brother, Myers "Tubby" Shepherd; and a sister, Arlene Jones.

Memorial services were Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Jordan First Baptist Church with Pastor Raymond Decator Jr. officiating. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of the Ozarks or the Jordan First Baptist Church.

Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home, Highway 5 North, Mountain Home, Ark.
