Dorothea "Dot" E. Rehard, 93, formerly of Newcomerstown, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, Pa.
She was born Nov. 9, 1919, in Adams Township, Coshocton County, to the late Jacob and Clara (Hoffman) Stilgenbauer.
She was a graduate of West Lafayette High School.
"Dot" owned and operated her own beauty shop, Dot's Beauty Shop. She also worked in the cafeteria at Newcomerstown High School. She loved spending time on her daughter's farm in Pennsylvania, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, as well as gardening and playing cards. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Newcomerstown.
On Jan. 24, 1951, she married her husband, Willis, who passed away May 7, 1988.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Lui) Damasceno of Meadville, Pa.; grandchildren, Luigi "Gino," Sophia, Francesca, Mario, Pietro, and Gabriela, all of Meadville, Pa.; brother-in-law, Lloyd Steinebrey of Sugarcreek; sister-in-law, Joan Stilgenbauer of Oxnard, Calif.; and 11 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Stilgenbauer; and her sister, Evelyn Steinebrey. Services will be Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown.
Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.
