Reuben M. Etter, 76, of Newcomerstown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Union Hospital, Dover.
He was born Dec. 21, 1936, to the late Charles and Helen (Shryock) Etter.
He was a self-employed brick mason in New Jersey before he returned to Ohio and retired.
He is survived by his wife, Doretta (Mazares) Etter, of the home; his children, Craig, Blaine and Laura Aponte; his siblings, Earl (Sanders) of West Lafayette, Evelyn Hart of Newcomerstown, and Dodie Kurtz of Dover; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and one-great-great-niece.
Reuben was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers-in-law, Thomas Hart and Dan Kurtz.
Reuben was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School, Class of 1954.
He served in the U.S. Army.
In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated without a public service.
