Linda Rae Saylor Rippel Tice, 68, of Newcomerstown, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at her residence after a brief illness.

She was born Sunday, Oct. 28, 1944, in Wolf to the late George E. and Norene D. (Lewis) Saylor.

Linda was a 1963 Newcomerstown High School graduate. She worked at the former Stoffer's Restaurant, Kurtz-Kasch, Bobbi Brooks and 31 Inc., during her life.

She was a beloved grandmother, mother, wife, sister, daughter and aunt. Linda enjoyed sewing, decorating and baking cakes, crocheting, deer hunting and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Wolf Salem United Methodist Church.

On Saturday, Nov. 29, 1969, she married Stanley G. Rippel. They had a daughter, Rae Lynn Rippel of Newcomerstown.

Then on Friday, Oct. 14, 1977, she married Daniel J. Tice Sr., who passed away April 8, 2012, and they had a son, Eric J. Tice of Newcomerstown.

Linda is also survived by three step-sons and one step-daughter, Daniel J. (Cindy) Tice Jr. of Baltic, Douglas A. Tice of Huntsville, Ala., Derrick H. Tice of New

Philadelphia and Dianne M. (John) Liagris of Dennison; five grandchildren, Thomas L. Corbett II, Forest D. Corbett, Hunter R. Corbett, Shebaray D. Corbett and

Donald J. Rippel; one great-granddaughter, Trinity L. Corbett; five step-grandchildren; 10 step-great grandchildren; two brothers, George F. (JoAnn) Saylor of Newcomerstown and Jackie C. Saylor of West Lafayette; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda will also be missed by her dog, Molly Ann Tice.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters, Norazella V. (John) Gunn, Tommy E. Saylor, Moria J. (Willis) Tufford, James E. Saylor, Constance S. Saylor and Forest N. Saylor.

Services were Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, in the Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown, with Pastor Kenny Porcher officiating.

Burial followed in Bethel Cemetery.
