Ann P. Sarchet, 90, West Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday morning, Aug. 20, 2013, in the Autumn Extended Health Care Facility, Walnut St., Coshocton.

Ann was born in Blanchester, Ohio, on Aug. 23, 1922, a daughter of the late Richard Eugene and Gertrude Collis Starkey.

For many years, Ann was employed as an assembler at General Electric, Newcomerstown (Ohio Coil Division), for many years before her retirement in 1987. She participated in the bowling leagues at Cy Young Lanes, Newcomerstown, for many years and enjoyed quilting as a favorite hobby.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, N. Jay Musselman, Bakersville, who died on March 26, 1977, and whom she married on Nov. 11, 1948.

Also deceased are a step-great-granddaughter; three brothers, Orville Starkey, Richard Starkey, and John William Starkey; and three sisters, Nellie Rhinehimer,

Alma Jo McKirahan, and Sherry June Starkey.

Ann is survived by her husband, James A. "Jim" Sarchet, West Lafayette, whom she married on Dec. 31, 1981.

Ann also leaves a son and his wife, William H. "Bill" and Vickie Musselman, Bakersville; and three step-daughters, Jackie Deddens of Amesville, Becky

Harrison of West Lafayette, and Shirley (Jim) Sells of West Lafayette. Also surviving are a grandson, Jason E. Musselman, Bakersville; a granddaughter, Danielle L (Mrs. Gene) Howell, Bakersville; a great granddaughter, Kaden Howell, Bakersville; 12 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter (Norma) Starkey, West Chester; and two sisters, Mary Frederick and Jeanette Barber, both of Lebanon.

Ann also leaves her special Chihuahua, Charlie Brown.

To honor Ann's requests, her remains are to be cremated.

Memorial services for Ann were Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in the Ourant Funeral Home, Newcomerstown.

Burial of her ashes will occur later at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens at the family's convenience.

The family is requesting that memorials be made in Ann's name to the Salvation Army.
