Earl Lee Jones, 66, of West Lafayette, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, in the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Tuesday, June 10, 1947 in Cambridge, to the late James Earl and Opal (Rose) Jones.

He was a 1965 Newcomerstown High School graduate.

He had been previously employed at Simond Industies of Newcomerstown.

He served in US Army Vietnam Veteran from Aug. 11, 1966, until Nov. 28, 1967, where he received a Purple Heart.

On Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, he married Donna R. (Ramsey) Jones, who survives.

He is also survived by one son, Kenneth (Kelly) Jones of Newcomerstown; three step-sons, David Lee (Shelly E.) Willham Jr. of Reedy, W.Va., Bryan Keith (Bonnie Jefferies) Willham of Grafton, Richard Allen (Debbie) Willham of Elyria; two grandchildren, Aaron (Jenelle) Jones and Courtney (Kyle Gallagher) Jones; several step-grandchildren; one brother, James D. Jones of Guernsey; and two canine companions, Toby and Sammie.

Services were Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, in the Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown, with Pastor Thomas Miller officiating.

Burial was in Earley's Cemetery.

Graveside military honors were conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
