NEWCOMERSTOWN -- Carl Cliffton Wharff III, 56, of Newcomerstown, died Saturday (July 22, 2017) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.
He was born March 11, 1961 in Parkersburg WV, son of Carl Cliffton Wharff II and the late Vernice (Bailes) Wharff.
Mr. Wharff was self-employed and owned a tire business for many years.
He enjoyed hunting and architectural design. He cherished spending time with his family and loved his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Trisha (Loader) Wharff, whom he married November 24, 1993; two sons, Chad (Darena) Garrett of Massillon and Jordan Wharff of the home; a daughter, Stephanie (Dan) Gordon of Stone Creek; a brother, Greg Wharff of Zanesville; four sisters, Missy Wilkinson of Cambridge, Heather (Billy) Rome of Cambridge, Alyson Brokaw (Steve Norman) of Senecaville, and Debbie Bales of Columbus; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He felt blessed to have wonderful in-laws, Larry and Pat Loader and family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 29, at 3 p.m. at the home of Carl and Trisha Wharff.
