Glen A. Phillips, 80, of Byesville passed away Thursday (December 14, 2017) at his home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1937 in Cambridge, the son of the late Edmond D. and Grace A. (St. John) Phillips.
Glen retired from Atlas Trucking and had previously worked at Clair Hughes Trucking in Caldwell. He was a member of Assembly of God and enjoyed traveling and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Phillips, and second wife, Nellie V. Phillips; two brothers, E. Raymond "Flip" and Wilmer Phillips; and two sisters, Phyllis Nieb and Marlene Garner.
He is survived by his three children, Marcia (Tom) Rose of Kimbolton, Melissa (Danny) Miser of Cumberland and John Phillips of Cambridge; his wife’s children, Louise, Dianne, Earl (Heather) "J.R."; 16 grandchildren, including Glen, Bridget and Theresa Underwood, Dalton Phillips, Brandon and Chris Miser; several great-grandchildren, including Hailey and Brianna Underwood and Kiley Hibbs; former son-in-law Joe (Joyce) Underwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at Byesville Assembly of God where services will follow at noon with Pastor Joe Summers officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
