Denny Ross of Newcomerstown stands amongst the 3,100 crosses at the American Soldier's Homecoming in Dennison. The crosses represent the total number of Ohio veterans who were killed during the Vietnam War.

Organizer gives thanks for help

Editor:

As the past president of VVA Chapter 532 and chairperson of the Field of Crosses project for the American Soldier's Homecoming in Dennison on Aug. 6-9, I want to send out a big "Thank You" to everyone who had a part in this project. You may have made crosses, painted crosses, donated time, money or material. Whatever you did, it was all part of the reason it was a success. You showed your patriotism for our fallen veterans and their families. Also by doing this, you showed respect for the living veterans and the ones serving today.

This was a big project and a long one and no one will now how much I appreciate all the help I received. I thank the Dennison Depot and VVA Chapter 857 for the opportunity to be part of this project. I especially want to thank the members VVA Chapter 532, the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard and several close friends for their help and support.

May God bless each and every one who helped in any way.

Denny Ross
