It is spring and so It must be Feinstein Challenge time! This is Journey's End Ministries annual fund-raising umbrella that raised over $15,000 in 2010 and provided a third of our food pantry budget for the year.

The Feinstein Challenge puts up $1,000,000 to be split up by all the participating food pantries nationwide. The promotion runs from March 1 through April 30 and all cash and food donations collected during this period will qualify for a portion of the funds available.

In 2010, we fed over 15,000 families that equaled nearly 49,000 people; this year, we will feed over 50,000 people.

Last year, we spent $45,000 to purchase food at about $.07 per pound.

The need continues to be great and through the overwhelming support of this community and God's grace, we have been able to meet the need.
