My name is Shelly Lipscomb and I am 43 years of age. I live in a town called Winterset, Lore City.

Country is the love of my life, as it is quiet and I love nature -- feeding the birds, giving the deer food and watching the deer. I own two dogs and two cats; they are my kids.

I am a Christian lady and have been for 11 years. I love my Lord and Savior more than words could ever describe.

I watch a lot of religious programs. I am not a fanatic, only love Jesus because of what sacrifice he designed for me.

I have a package with Direct TV. I pay the minimal only because of lack of funds. I turned on my news channel, Fox, and there were very disturbing visual pictures of women kissing women, a woman dressed in a police outfit with chest hanging out. I was appalled and insulted. If my grandkids were here, it would have been even worse.

Needless to say, I called the FCC to put a complaint in. They took my complaint. I also called Congressman Gibbs, and put in this complaint. They wrote me back a letter about pornographic websites and how children's rights are not protected under the first amendment.

What concerns me is that I did not even contact them concerning pornographic websites. I don't own a computer and that is one reason I do not.

However, I am happy in one way -- they wrote me because 1. it was not my concern and 2. I'm disturbed and appalled that they would say such a thing as children's rights are not protected.

My God, My God. What is this world coming to? And where is the protection for our children and their children?

TV programming should be the way it used to be. No nudity under family packaging, no selling sexual toys, no cussing (which they do), and bleep out when they do cuss.

I called the White House. The White House told me to call my mayor. I have done this and spoken with a very nice woman. She took my name and told me Tom was not in.

So, where does this leave me? I have other women out there who have kids, and they will stand with me on this issue.

This issue is progressively getting worse, day to day, moment by moment.

I hope for help on this issue as I will continue to see what can be done and what legislation would have to pass.
