Editor:

I have come to notice that we are being asked to save everything, save the earth, save the birds, save the polar bears. I even received mail to save the wolves. Yesterday, Robert Redford is asking me to stop the Pebble Mine to "save one of our great wild places."

I hear very little about saving the most important thing we have, our soul. Jesus said, "If you gain the whole world and lose your own soul, what does a man profit?" Matt. 16:26

I want everybody to think about this and open your Bible to the Acts Chapter Two. Read about the beginning of the church that Jesus built. Read Peter's sermon. What were they told to do? How many were saved? Who added them to the church?

The week of May 5 there will be wonderful gospel sermons at the Church of Christ. I challenge you to bring your Bibles and study Sunday morning, "Can one be saved as a Moslem?" Then, Sunday at 1 p.m. about "The Aprocrypha;" Monday, The Bible; Tuesday, "Should one be a Morman?"; Wednesday, "Be a Jehovah's Witness?"; and Thursday, about the denominations. All times are at 7 p.m.

I used to be a Presbyterian but I found that wasn't in the Bible, so now I'm just a Christian, a member of the Word's Church which we can read about in the Bible. See you next week?
