UHRICHSVILLE -- The Generals took two from the Mustangs on Saturday by scores of 4-1 and 7-0.
Haley Kolmerten was the winning pitcher in game one as she gave up four hits. Kim Michael cracked a double for Ridgewood (9-5) while Laura Dotson and Sally Sharier each had RBI singles.
In game two, Sharier drove in three runs by ripping a triple and double. Kolmerten had a double and single at the plate while Mindy McDorman and Katie McVay each had two base hits in Ridgewood's 11-hit attack. Kim Michael was the winning pitcher, giving up only three hits in the shutout win.
Claymont (12-4) got a double and single from Jordan Smith.

AKRON -- The Trojans dropped two at the Akron Racers Rock-N-Fire Classic on Saturday.
In game one, Andrea Myers pitched a two-hitter for Cuyahoga Falls to lead her team to a 2-0 victory. Chelsea Fenton launched a triple for the Trojans. Hannah Rexroad suffered the loss on the mound.
In game 2 against Poland Seminary, Fenton had an RBI single to help the Trojans (12-7) score their only run of the game in the seventh inning for a 4-1 loss. Martina Triplett took the defeat on the mound.

AKRON -- The Trojans almost came away with a sweep at the first day of the Akron Racers Rock-n-Fire Classic on Friday.
The Orange and Black knocked off Highland in the second game when Jessie Rexroad came through with a game-winning RBI base hit in the bottom of the seventh. Hannah Rexroad was credited with the win. She got bat support from Amber Gibson, who nailed a triple, and Andrea McWhorter, who laced a double and single.
In the first game, Brunswick scored in the bottom of the eighth to pull out the win. The Trojans had tied the game with two runs in the fourth and both pitchers continued to shut down the other team until the final run was scored. McWhorter came through at the plate with a double and single while Chelsea Fenton had an RBI single. Martina Triplett suffered the loss.

Braves shut out Timken
CANTON -- The Braves broke a 0-0 tie in the fifth inning with three runs and added three more in the seventh for a 6-0 shutout of Timken on Friday.
Mindy Bober fired a three-hit shutout to lead the team on the mound. Leanna McMillen and Tana Gibbs each had two base hits for Indian Valley, who raised its Principals Athletic Conference record to 4-3 (4-9 overall). McMillen also had two RBI. Jenna Allensworth smacked a double for the Braves.
Timken falls to 3-7 overall and 0-6 in league play.

Hannah Rexroad struck out seven and walked two to get the win for the Trojans (10-4, 4-3 IVC). Katelyn Hershberger walked seven in a losing effort for Hiland.
Kirsten Ritchie led Newcomerstown with two doubles, two singles and two runs.
Andrea McWhorter added three singles, two runs and two RBI; Christy Felton had two singles, a run and an RBI; Chelsea Fenton finished with a double, single and RBI; and Tasha Little had a single and two RBI.

The Braves had two tough outs when Claymont's left fielder threw out a runner at home and the center fielder then threw out a runner at first.
