GNADENHUTTEN -- Indian Valley swept a quadrangular with Ridgewood, Sandy Valley, and Fairless on Friday.

The Lady Braves won with 89 points, followed by the Lady Generals in second with 58. The Cardinals were third (55), and the Falcons were fourth (53).

Kayla Caldwell won the pole vault with a new stadium record of 12-8, along with the 100 (12.9), 200 (26.8), and 300 hurdles (47.1). Other Indian Valley winners include Taylor Davis in the 1600 (5:50), Candace Casini in the 100 hurdles (15.8), and Taryn Deetz in the 400 (1:02.5). The 400 relay team was first in 52.6.

For the Lady Generals, Jessica Casterline got first in the long jump (14-5) while Courtney Babcock and Savannah Warne tied for tops in the high jump (4-10). The 1600 relay team won in 4:24.

The Indian Valley boy's team scored 88 points, followed by Ridgewood (81), Sandy Valley (64), and Fairless (23). For the Braves, triple winner Sean Jones took the 1600 (4:35), the 800 (2:03), and the 400 (51.2). Other winners for the Red and Blue included Andrew Tignor in the discus (148-4), Sean McKean in the 200 (23.3), Brandon Kissinger in the high jump (5-10), and Kyle Lawver in the pole vault (13-0). Indian Valley's 800 relay (1:34.1) and 1600 relay (3:32) teams also won.

For the Generals, Zach Queen was first in the shot put (49-9.5), as was Austin Bates in the 110 hurdles (15.6)

Lady Braves beat Trinway

WOOSTER -- The Lady Braves scored a 99-37 win over Triway on Wednesday in a Principal's Athletic Conference dual meet.

Kayla Caldwell had four wins to lead Indian Valley. They included the 100, 200, pole vault, and 300 hurdles. Taryn Deetz won the 400 and 800, and was on the 400-relay team which included Candace Casini, Sam Ohler, and Jorden Glass. Bre Davis took first in the 1600 and 3200. Also claiming firsts were Shannon Winker (discus), Kacy Bond (high jump), and Steph Schwab (shot put). The winning 3200 relay team consisted of Kaleb Walker, Taylor Casini, Wendy Myer, and Abby Krocker.

The boy's team fell to the Titans, 92-45. Leading for the boy's was Sean Jones as he took the 800, 1600, and the winning 800 relay consisted of Ryan Simmers, Justin Glass, Kyle Johnson, and Sean McKean while the 1600 relay team was Simmers, Glass, Jess Beckner, and Jones. Andrew Tignor won the discus and Kyle Lawver took first in the pole vault.

Nc'town and Indian Valley win

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Newcomerstown and Indian Valley enjoyed success at the Tuscarawas County Classic Track & Field Meet held at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium on Monday.

The 4x100 relay team (Mitch Osso, Chase Addy, Chris Stockum, Caleb Rankin) took third (46.8), while the 4x200 relay team (Osso, Logan Brosius, Stockum, and Rankin) was fifth(1:38.9). The 4x400 team (Osso, Zac Dressler, Matt Ayers, Sanchez) placed sixth (3:44.5).

In field events, Addy won the pole vault (14-0). The long jump saw Rankin take fourth (18-11.25) and Addy place sixth (17-11.75). In the high jump, J.P. Snyder was fourth (5-8) and Rankin finished sixth (5-6). Serafin Sanchez took fourth in the 1600 (4:53.4).

For the Lady Trojans, Lexy Long was sixth in the 100 (13.9). The 400 relay team (Morgan McAfee, Ashley Shugars, Rachel Tidrick, Long) took fourth (55.7) and the 1600 relay team (Chelsea Bryant, Taylor Lehman, Allison Snyder, Erica Roberts) was sixth (4:47.9).

In field events, Erica Roberts set a new school record of 9-0 in the pole vault, finishing second. Kayla Hinds was fourth in the discus (97-5) and fifth in the shot put (30-9.5). Shugars took fourth in the long jump (14-7).

For Indian Valley, Kayla Caldwell came through with four wins, including a new meet record in the pole vault with a leap of 12 feet. She also tied a meet record and set a school record with a 46.0 showing in the 300 hurdles. Caldwell was first in the 100 (12.8) and in the 200 (26.1).The Lady Brave's Candace Casini was on top of her game as she set a meet and school record in the 100 hurdles (15.1). Casini, along with Sam Ohler, Taryn Deetz and Jorden Glass, won the 400 relay with a time of 52.1. Kacy Bond came up with in gold in the high jump at 4-11.

For the Indian Valley boy's team, Sean Jones was on top with a win in the 800 (2:02.3) and the 400 (51.4).

Teammate Andrew Tignor threw for first in the discus with 154-3.
