CAMBRIDGE -- Ridgewood claimed fourth place with 89 points in the Division III District Cross Country meet at Cambridge High School last Saturday. Bellaire St. Johns won the race with 28 points, followed by Barnesville (82) and Caldwell (87).

The top four teams advance to regional action as well as the top 16 individual runners. The Irish claimed the top two spots individually, with Luke Holubeck turning in a winning time of 15:55 and Matthew Moscato was second in 16:25.

Brad Olinger led the Generals with a third-place time of 16:34. Also placing for the Orange and Black were Ryan Cunningham (13th, 17:35), Luke Feldner (22nd, 18:04), Travis Schlabach (24th, 18:13) and Zak Keesee (28th, 18:21).

In the boys' Division II race, Sean Jones of Indian Valley claimed the individual championship with a winning time of 15:39. He was followed by Cory Dotts of Claymont with 15:44.13 and Stephen Hammond of River View close behind with 15:44.31.

St. Clairsville (46 points), Sandy Valley (115), River View (149) and West Holmes (156) were the four teams who went to the regional.

In the girls' Division III race, Garaway, Sandy Valley, Martins Ferry and Fort Frye advanced. Connie Collins of Sandy Valley turned in the winning individual time with 19:29.

The Division II girls' race was split into two flights. In the A flight, Minerva (47 points), Carrollton (59), West Holmes (97) and New Philadelphia were the four teams advancing. In the B flight, St. Clairsville (28 points), Dover (82), Harrison Central (86) and Claymont (104) moved on.

All regional qualifying teams and individuals competed at Pickerington this past Saturday. Results were not available at press time.
