Cheerleaders have Biddy Cheer Clinic, raise money for children's hospital

The Newcomerstown High School cheerleaders had a Biddy Cheer Clinic with 50 girls from ages kindergarten to sixth grade participating. They performed at the half time of the varsity basketball game last Friday against Strasburg.

The high school cheerleaders sold hearts for $1 at the Garaway and Strasburg games in their campaign as "Change Bandits for Akron Children's Hospital." The cheerleaders also had the support from Terry's Pizza Shoppe on Friday. Whenever someone purchased a large pizza, a $1 was donated to the cheerleaders change bandit fund.

The cheerleaders raised over $1,000.
