Saho wins at Nc'town cross country meetCambridge High's Daniel Mullen (19:00.31) and Indian Valley's Paige Saho (21:51.81) were victorious Monday at Newcomerstown in a cross country action. Indian Valley swept the team titles at the meet.For the boys, it was Indian Valley winning with a score of 22, followed by Cambridge (64), Newcomerstown (71) and Hiland (130).Newcomerstown's top finishers were Michael Amore in 10th (20:57.47) and Nathan Marinucci in 11th (21.01.56). Joey Raach followed in 13th (21:07.12), ahead of Daniel Lovrinic (18th, 22:01.15) and Jacob Everhart (19th, 22:10.72).Finishing behind Mullen for the Bobcats were Jimmy Allen in seventh (20:35.81), Wesleigh Lewis in ninth (20:56.3), Jason Dunlap in 22nd (22:35.56) and Nate Frazier in 25th (23:21.59).Evan Menefee finished second overall for the Braves in 19:08 with Caleb Schumacher third in 19:16 and Jamie Macadam fourth in 19:46In the girls' race, Indian Valley scored 23 to best Cambridge's 34, as they were the only scoring teams. Following Saho for the Lady Braves were Emily Probert in fourth in 22:47 and Emily Baker in sixth in 24:34.Rachel Jamiel took second for the Lady Bobcats (22:31.25) and Abbie Orr finished third (22:34.47). They were followed by Tiffany Ingram (ninth, 26:30.91), Emilee Waddell (11th, 27:44.97) and Alyssa Giesey (12th, 28:30.22).Newcomerstown also participated, with Jessica McCoun finishing fifth (22:54.88) and McKaila Goodwin finishing in 13th (28:54.91).In the junior high race, the top three runners in the boys division were: 1. Justin Green, Newcomerstown, 15:24; Logan Norman, Newcomerstown, 16:36; and Tyler Karr, Indian Valley, 16:39Top finishers in the junior high girls' race were: Rachel Wentworth, Indian Valley, 14:09; Elizabeth Phillips, Cambridge, 14:24; and Klarrisa Hatfield, Newcomerstown, fourth in 16:17.
