WEST LAFAYETTE -- A grand slam in the first inning by Central Catholic's Anne Dreher proved to be the difference as the Lady Generals fell 6-2 to their IVC rival on Friday.

The only other scoring in the game occurred when Ridgewood and Central Catholic traded a pair of runs in the fourth inning.

Taylor Zinkon picked up the loss as the Lady Saints (7-1, 4-1 IVC) amassed 14 hits. Hayley Puntenney limited the Lady Generals (1-8, 1-3 IVC) to four hits.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- The Lady Trojans crushed the Lady Generals on Thursday with 14-hits as they racked up a mercy-rule, 11-1 victory in Inter-Valley Conference play.

Newcomerstown's Aeriel Green earned the win as she gave up only one run on five hits while striking out one and walking one. The loss fell to Taylor Zinkon, who managed eight strikeouts while walking none. Both pitchers went all six innings.

Allie Hinton posted a triple, two singles, and two RBI to lead the Lady Trojans (5-3, 3-1 IVC) at the plate. Taylor Postel cracked a triple and two singles.

Aimee Ott racked up two base hits for the Lady Generals (1-7, 1-2 IVC).

Tuslaw 9, Indian Valley 4

GNADENHUTTEN -- The Lady Braves fell to the Lady on Thursday in a Principals Athletic Conference game. Tuslaw scored five runs in the second inning and never looked back.

Indian Valley (2-4, 0-4 PAC) was paced by Alex Smart's three base hits. Rikki Ohler and Katie Shamel had two singles apiece. Morgan Miles was tagged with the mound loss.

Malvern 4, Ridgewood 3

MALVERN -- The Lady Hornets scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth and then held the Lady Generals scoreless in the seventh to post a 4-3 IVC win on Wednesday.

Amy Foreman crushed a triple and double for Ridgewood (1-6, 1-1 IVC) but it wasn't enough for the Orange and Black. Taylor Zinkon absorbed the loss.

Taylor Zeiger got the mound win for Malvern (6-3, 2-1 IVC) as she struck out six.

Tuslaw 7, Indian Valley 1

MASSILLON -- The Lady Braves fell to the Lady Mustangs 7-1 in a PAC game on Wednesday.

Tuslaw scored three runs in the first inning and four more in the fourth frame while Indian Valley only could manage a lone run in the fourth.

Rikki Ohler smacked a double and single to lead the Lady Braves (2-3, 0-3 PAC). Morgan Miles was tagged with the loss.

Nc'town 11, Garaway 4

The homestanding Lady Trojans earned an 11-4 Inter-Valley Conference victory over Garaway on Wednesday.

Newcomerstown was already leading 6-3 when they broke out for five more runs n the fifth for a commanding lead. Big hitters for the Lady Trojans included Meghann Mullane and Chelsea Fenton with doubles, Lexi Montgomery and Kelsey McCune with two base hits and two RBI apiece, and Aerial Green, who had one single and two RBI but also got on base three times with walks. Mullane had two RBI while Fenton had one.

Sophomore Cydney McMillan took off from pole vaulting for the track team to pick up the complete game win for Newcomerstown (4-3, 2-1 IVC). McMillan (3-2) struck out four and walked five while giving up just five hits. The loss went to Diane Troyer for the Lady Pirates (3-2, 3-1 IVC).

LEESVILLE -- The Lady Generals racked up their first win of the season by shutting out the Lady Rockets 11-0 on Monday in Inter-Valley Conference action.

Ridgewood (1-5, 1-0 IVC) had a slim 3-0 lead before busting out for six runs in the sixth inning. They added two more in the seventh. Sterling Wilkerson had two singles and three RBIs for the winners while Jasmine Pelfrey and Laura Dotson had RBI base hits.

Taylor Zinkon mastered the mound with a two-hitter for the win as she mowed down seven batters with strikeouts. Taylor Rothacher was tagged for the loss for Conotton Valley (0-6).

WEST LAFAYETTE - The Lady Generals dropped a twin bill to the Lady Redskins last Saturday, 4-1 and 12-7.

In game one, Taylor Zinkon took the mound loss as she gave up three earned runs while striking out five and walking two. Megan Sharier, Laura Dotson, and Abbey Youngen all had singles for Ridgewood.

In game two, Sharier came through with two hits while Dotson had a double for the Lady Generals (0-5). Haley Cutshall suffered the loss on the mound in her first varsity start. She walked three and struck out two.

Macy Patterson got the win in game one for Coshocton (4-5) while Kasey Means earned the W in game two.
