NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Lady Saints buried the Lady Generals 14-4 on Friday in a five-inning mercy rule shortened game.

Central Catholic led 11-0 after the first two innings and never was threatened. Anne Dreher had three doubles and a single while Angelina Ciraci finished with two double and two singles to lead the Lady Saints (13-5, 9-4 IVC). Both had three RBI.

Kalynn Bluck crushed a triple to go with a single and had two RBI for Ridgewood (4-15, 4-10 IVC). Emily McCoy also had a triple while Taylor Zinkon got an RBI single. Zinkon suffered the loss on the mound as Hayley Puntenney got the win.

Dover 11, Indian Valley 0

DOVER -- The Lady Braves suffered an 11-0 defeat to a powerful Dover team on Friday in non-conference play.

The Lady Tornadoes (19-3) led 1-0 after the first inning and then racked up seven runs in the third to take command.

Morgan Miles took the loss on the mound for Indian Valley (7-8). Rikki Ohler paced the offense with two singles.

Sarah Mills had a home run, single and three RBI for Dover while Ashton Stubblefield picked up the mound win.

NHS 12, Ridgewood 2

The host Lady Trojans broke open a tight game late in the contest to roll past Ridgewood 12-2 in Inter-Valley Conference action on Thursday.

With the scoreboard tied at 1-1 entering the bottom of the fifth, Newcomerstown erupted for eight runs to surge into the lead.

The Lady Trojans (12-7, 9-4 IVC) banged out 16 hits, led by Kelsey McCune with three singles, a double, and an RBI. Allie Hinton contributed three singles while Lexi Montgomery and Meghann Mullane each added a pair of base hits and an RBI and Kaitlyn Stringer added a double. Samantha Fuller had two RBI while Taylor Postel, Sabrina Postel, and Aeriel Green had one RBI apiece.

Ridgewood's offense was limited to four singles. Aimee Ott, Emily McCoy, and Kalynn Bluck each had a base hit for the Generals. (4-14, 4-9 IVC).

Green scattered four hits, struck out two and walked two, in picking up the complete game win for NHS and improved to 7-4 on the year. Taylor Zinkon took the loss for Ridgewood. She had eight strikeouts and gave up three walks.

Indian Valley 10, CVCA 0

GNADENHUTTEN -- Morgan Miles ruled the mound and the plate as the Lady Braves shut out the Lady Royals on Thursday, 10-0, in a mercy-rule shortened six innings.

Miles fired a one-hitter to pick up the pitching win and blasted a three run homer to with a double and single. Macy Griffin added two base hits for Indian Valley (7-7, 4-7 PAC).

NHS 6, Garaway 5

SUGARCREEK -- Pushing across a solo run in the top of the sixth inning, the visiting Lady Trojans pulled out a 6-5 win over the Lady Pirates on Wednesday.

The victory completed a two-game sweep of their IVC rival for the season.

It wasn't easy though as Garaway loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh and with two outs, pitcher Aeriel Green snagged a ripping grounder and tossed it to first to end the game.

Taylor Postel crossed the plate in the top of the sixth thanks to Kelsey McCune's sacrifice fly for what proved to be the winning run.

Green (6-4) earned the win in relief of starter Cydney McMillan with the two combining to strike out four and walk four. Cassie Yoder took the loss in relief of Dian Troyer.

Newcomerstown (11-7, 8-4 IVC) outhit the hosts 15-4 and was led by Allie Hinton with a double and three singles with Chelsea Fenton adding a double and single. Taylor Postel, Lexi Montgomery, Sabrina Postel, and Green each contributed a pair of singles.

For Garaway (7-8, 5-6 IVC) catcher Anya Misko blasted a two-run homer, while Katie Hostetler had a three-run double.

Hiland 5, Ridgewood 0

WEST LAFAYETTE -- The Lady Generals got seven hits but couldn't manage any runs as they were shutout by the Lady Hawks on Wednesday, 5-0.

Jasmine Pelfrey and Taylor Zinkon each had a double for Ridgewood (4-13, 4-8 IVC). Zinkon was charged with the mound loss.

Katelyn Hershberger and Kayla Yoder had two base hits apiece for Hiland (7-11, 5-9 IVC). Maryssa Mast got the win.

AKRON -- The PAC leading Lady Panthers knocked off the Lady Braves 6-1 in Principals Athletic Conference action on Wednesday.

Indian Valley (6-7, 3-7 PAC) managed only three hits with Rikki Ohler nailing a double and Morgan Miles and Kelsey Kochman each getting a base hit. Kochman picked up the loss on the mound.

Rachel Harbarger got the win for Manchester (14-3, 11-0 PAC).

Strasburg 8, NHS 5

The Lady Tigers avenged their earlier shut out defeated to the Lady Trojans by coming away with an 8-5 win on Monday in IVC play.

Strasburg jumped out to a 3-0 top of the first inning lead but Newcomerstown came right back with four in the bottom half of the inning to go up 4-3. Four more Tiger runs in the third inning proved to be the difference.

Aeriel Green took the mound loss while Kristen LaRocca earned the win.

Chelsea Fenton came through with a double and single for the Lady Trojans (10-7, 7-4 IVC) while Sabrina Postel connected on two base hits. Meghann Mullane nailed a double.

Kristin Smith had a homer and double for the Lady Tigers.

RHS 14, Conotton Valley 9

WEST LAFAYETTE -- The Lady Generals blew out of the gates with eight runs in the first inning and coasted to a 14-9 win over the Lady Rockets on Monday in IVC action.

Ridgewood led 11-1 after four innings and allowed Conotton Valley to put up eight runs over the next two frames to make the game more interesting.

Amanda Bible finished with three base hits while Haley Cutshall smacked a double and single for the Lady Generals (4-12, 4-7 IVC). Taylor Zinkon, the winning pitcher, and Amy Ott each connected on two base hits.

GNADENHUTTEN -- The Lady Panthers scored a 9-2 win over the Lady Braves last Monday in PAC action to remain undefeated in league play.

Morgan Miles took the pitching loss for Indian Valley (6-6, 3-6 PAC). Teammate Kayleigh Moore had a double at the plate.

Rachel Harbarger got the win for Manchester (13-3, 10-0 PAC).
