WEST LAFAYETTE -- Carollton and St. Clairsville took top honors in the Indian Valley Brave Invitational at River Greens Golf Course on Monday.

Carrollton won the Big School division with a team score of 328 followed by Tri-Valley (329), New Philadelphia (334), Cambridge (337), West Holmes (338), John Glenn (349), Minerva (359), Claymont (365), River View (373) and Morgan (396).

The match medalist was Tri-Valley's Zack Forker, who carded a four-under par 68.

In the Small School division, St. Clairsville claimed the team title with a team score of 300 followed by Tuscarawas Valley (326), Coshocton (341), host Indian Valley (343), Ridgewood (345), Maysville (347), Meadowbrook (350), Hiland (353), Tuscarawas Central Catholic (354) and Harrison Central (369).

Ridgewood had the match medalist in the small school division, with Tyler Davis firing a three-under par 69 to lead the way. He was followed by Nick Blakley (88), Sam Bucher (93) and Wesley Cochran (95).

Indian Valley was led in scoring by Mitchell Lehigh with a 74. He was followed by Bret Penick (83), Shawn Mills (89) and Brett Rentsch (97).

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Host Newcomerstown High placed fourth in the season-opening five-team field Trojan Invitational at Hickory Flats Golf Course on Monday.

Behind the play of individual medalist Trevor Mudrak (80), Union Local took top honors with a team score of 357. Conotton Valley finished second (380), River was third (413), Newcomerstown was fourth (417) and Beallsville was fifth (422).

Jared Brooks led the host Trojans with an 82. Zach Gibson followed at 92; Lincoln Shaw had a 115 and Codi Rothacher carded a 128.

BOLIVAR -- Ridgewood's Paige Lane finished with the day's best score at 2-over-par 38, but Sandy Valley claimed a 206-243 win in a dual match on Tuesday at Wilkshire Golf Course.

Samantha Wilson finished at 48, Kaitlyn Finton 69 and Kristin Poorman 88 for a team-total of 243 for the Generals (0-2).

Olivia Bland shot 47 to lead Sandy Valley.

BOLIVAR -- Ridgewood High posted a runner-up finish in Wednesday's Inter-Valley Conference Pre-Season Golf Tourney at Wilkshire Golf Course.

The Generals' 325 total fell 13 strokes short to Garaway's winning 312 total. Newcomerstown's score of 450 was good for eighth spot.

Ridgewood's Tyler Davis was medalist with a 72.

After Garaway and Ridgewood, the team scoring included Strasburg (3rd - 329), Hiland (4th - 333), Sandy Valley and Tusky Catholic (T5th - 342), Malvern (7th - 344) and Newcomerstown (8th, 450).

Newcomerstown scores included Zach Gibson (89), Jared Brooks (100), Lincoln Shaw (121), Codi Rothacher (140), Tance Brandon (140).

Ridgewood numbers after Davis' 72 included Howie Young (80), Wesley Cochran (85), Nate Hoffman (88), Nick Blakley (92), Sam Bucher (103),

MASSILLON --- Indian Valley High turned in a solid second place finish in the Pac-7 Preseason Tournament at The Legends Course on Tuesday.

Tuscarawas Valley emerged on top with a 316-stroke total while the Braves checked in at 337. The rest of the field included Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (338), Manchester (347), Triway (376), Fairless (404) and Timken (481).

Sophomore Mitchell Lehigh led Indian Valley with a 79 followed by Shawn Mills (81), Bret Penick (85) and Brett Rentsch (92).

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Indian Valley High rolled to a 333-357 victory over Strasburg in a non-conference match at River Greens Golf Course on Thursday.

Low man for the Braves was Mitchell Lehigh with 76. Shawn Mills carded an 80; Penick finished with an 88 and Jadan Hartzler had 89.
